10 ton Hydraulic/Pneumatic Forging Press

This is a 10 ton custom-built pneumatic/hydraulic blacksmith’s forging press.
The brand name on the cylinder is HyperCyl, model HPS-10. They have specs and info about their products here: https://www.hypercyl.com/hypercyl/hps/. These cylinders are serious business, and really get the job done for forging. I have it set up with flat dies for making damascus, and it’s worked great for that.
It’s powered by compressed air, which actuates the hydraulics in the drive cylinder—so you need an air compressor to run it, but the hydraulics are passive so there’s no hydraulic power unit. My 50 gallon shop compressor is more than enough so I suspect it would run fine on something smaller.
I prefer if you can pick it up at my workshop in Lakewood, CO. There’s a garage door so you can pull a truck in, but no loading dock. I can help load with a pallet jack and shop crane, and I’d recommend bringing more than one person to move it—it’s about 800 pounds with the stand.
