Description

This is a sepia-tone photograph, size about 7 3/8 x 9 1/4 in. (that's the size of the image only, not including the white mat or the mount). The firm card mount is about 10 7/8 in. x 14 in.
The bit of handwriting on the back was definitely added later (with a ballpoint pen) and whoever added it wasn’t a good speller. But I’m pretty sure it was meant to say “Tinnermeiers, etc.” There are quite a few Tinnermeier connections to Newton that can be found online.

- for some reason my scanner decided to turn the close-ups into b/w images. Heavy wear to the mount mostly at upper-left where some of the surface is gone from the front and where there’s a fairly-sharp crease along the inner edge of that damage. Light warping in the mount. Stain spot on the lower part of the white mat. There are some small pale spots on the image that look like they might be slight ink smudges…? They don’t affect the image very much - I didn’t notice them until I saw them in the scans. Average soil otherwise on the front. Heavier soil on the back.
