‘Presidential Brunch Menu in celebration of the 200
th
Anniversary of George Washington’s Inauguration as President. We have created this menu based on historic recipes from the kitchens of Mount Vernon, many of them from Martha Washington. ‘
George Washington’s inaugural was held at NYC on 30
th
April 1789 . His official residence was in
the lower east side at 3 Cherry Street, NYC,
the first executive mansion for the President of the USA. Some
menu items came from Martha’s
recipe book , part of her dowry from her first marriage, and originated in middle England in the 1500’s,  containing recipes featuring ingredients brought back by Crusaders.
The Windows on the World restaurant on the 107
