Description
ResaleThis is a very nice early Straus Venetian pattern, water goblet. Glass is of high quality and the cutting is crisp and precise. This pattern is shown is several books and the ACGA re-print catalogs. The stem has a faceted knob, at bottom of bowl, and tear drop that extends toward base. Base is cut with 16 point hobster and is 3" in diameter. Size is 6" tall and bowl is ~ 3 1/2" diameter (at widest). No damage seen. Has minimal shelf wear on bottom of base commensurate with age. The weight is heavy for size at just over 1lb. My amateur photography does not do this goblet justice; much nicer in person. If you have any questions or need additional pictures; please ask and I'll try to take and/ or answer if I can.
Addendum: Someone asked about the base diameter; I have added the dimension to the description. It is all original without repair.
Side note: Very affordable piece by a known manufacturer and pattern. Excellent clarity and quality!

I have been collecting cut glass for almost thirty years and most of the cut glass, I am selling, is from my personal collection. A few pieces will be items I purchased to re-sell to help defer cost of the collecting. I indicate, where its coming from, as either re-sale or collection. Quality of items will range from above average to outstanding. Most items will be American brilliant with some brilliant period European color as well. I will give as much "known" detail about an item as I can. This will include maker, pattern, quality, any defects and/ or damage. I am a discriminating collector and only purchased items of the highest quality and condition.
Shipping Policy: shipping cut glass can be a little expensive due to it's weight and the need for double boxing. I will not compromise safely shipping an item to save a couple dollars. Some items will require direct signature receipt and insurance. I want your item to arrive in the same condition as it left. I realize my default shipping method selection of "USPS Parcel Select" may appear expensive, but I must pick something. Once you purchase; I will pack your item then ship using the most cost effective and reasonable service available. Typically and except for possibly Priority Mail; FedEx is cheaper for longer distances than USPS and vice-versa. Regardless; any over-payment is always refunded. The best option is to request an estimate before purchase or wait for an invoice from me, not Ebay, after purchase; that way you will know the true cost.
Finally, I will describe items with as much detail and accuracy as possible, but there is a small chance I may miss something minor. These items are 90+ years old and are being sold as is and not returnable. This is not a reflection on the condition or quality of any of the items for sale. My feedback is a testament to my customer service, quality of merchandise and honesty. Thanks for looking.
