ABP TUTHILL CORNING N Y INTAGLIO MORNING GLORY RARE COMPOTE ON STEUBEN BLANK

Description

I have a rare/hard to find ABP cut glass compote with deep intaglio cutting in the Morning Glory pattern.
Made by Tuthill Cut Glass Co. in Corning or Middletown N. Y. ca. 1895-1915.
The blank glass was made by Steuben Glass Works in Corning N. Y. the best crystal blanks on that era.
The compote has a couple small surface scratches and one pinprick (pictured) also the typical wear/scratches at the bottom. There are no big chips or cracks.
The deep intaglio cutting is nicely done, the stem has an air trapped teardrop and the quality glass pings nicely when tapped.
This item measures 7 1/4 inches tall, 6 1/2 top rim diameter and 4 1/4 base diameter.
