Adams county is in west central Illinois and is surrounded by Pike, Brown, Schuyler and Hancock counties. The county seat is Quincy. Other towns are Camp Point, Clayton, Coatsburg, Columbus, Golden, Kellerville, Liberty, Lima, Loraiine, Mendon, Payson, Plainville and Ursa .
