AMERICAN BRILLIANT PERIOD CUT GLASS & STERLING SILVER 3 HANDLE LOVING CUP

Description

Fresh from an Arkansas estate is this Antique American Brilliant Period cut glass loving cup with a Sterling Silver collar.  The three handle loving cup was manufactured by JF Fraley and Co., NY. The sterling collar covers the entire out-turned lip. The sterling is marked "sterling" 369 and 925-1000 FINE. The  loving cup is in very good/near fine---except one of the handles has a 'chip' in the annealing process---probably in manufacturing---but present---although this does not affect the use or beauty.  The cup has no stains or discoloration and the silver is not scratched, dented or pitted.  The bottom shows appropriate wear for a 100 year old antique. The small cup is 3 1/2" in height and approximately 4" from handle to handle. Loving cups were very popular and were often used in weddings and formal ceremonies at the turn of the 20th century.  I will BUBBLE wrap and BOX carefully for shipping.
