Description
For your consideration, please see this absolutely beautiful Hand-cut crystal bowl from the Hawkes Company, pre-1903. The mark on this piece pre-dates the trademarked acid-etched pieces from 1903, but has the previous mark that was used in 1902. It is a beautiful clear bowl with diamond cuts and stars radiating from the center of each. The bottom of the bowl has a large starburst pattern, typical of Hawkes from this period. The opening of the bowl is 6.5" in diameter, and the center of the bowl is appx. 6.75" in diameter. The bowl measures appx. 3.25" tall and weighs 1 lb, 12 oz. on its own. The marking is in the center of the star, and is visible. FULL DISCLOSURE: There are scratches present on the underside of the bowl from use and movement over the years, this is to be expected. There are also a couple of tiny nicks on the rim of the bowl, but none of which detract from the beauty or function of the piece. They were likely caused by silverware use over time. I have attempted to photograph this as best I can.
Please be sure to see all photos, as they are part of the description. For being 120 years old, it is in incredible shape! Let me know if you have any questions. Will be shipped with care via USPS. Many thanks for looking and happy shopping!
