In 1901 Charles and Ida Muller Lillie, along with their two young children left their home near Menlo, Iowa and traveled to Oklahoma for the 1901 Land Lottery. After arriving in Oklahoma they missed home and traveled back to Iowa. Ida kept a diary of the Journey back from Oklahoma to Iowa, as they traveled through Kansas and Nebraska.
