  • Condition: The bowl is free of chips, cracks and repairs. I can find no fleabites on the rim or the cut designs, which is pretty crazy as I can almost always find one. There are no notable marks or scratches from use or storage. The highest points of the bottom have slight shelf wear as expected. The cuts are excellent, well planned and superbly executed. The glass is crystal clear with superb light reflection and a slight green glow under UV light. The blank highly polished with amazing bell like resonance when tinged. There are no flaws or bubbles in the glass.

    • Detailed Description:
    The Gem pattern (commonly called Expanding Star) features a central 16 point hobstar which expands outwards nearly to the rim with hobstars between the points and hobstars in each tip. Gowens, Kent and Co registered the pattern in 1905. Several companies created similar cut pieces the most similar being Libbey (18 point center star). The bowl is unsigned. It will make a great addition to any ABP collection or on it's own.
