    Description

    This is a vintage or antique necklace, but I’m not sure how old. It has a weathered antique dealer price tag that says Sioux, but the design looks Maasai to me. It has a leather backing that has shrunk over time, so it doesn’t lay flat anymore. Not including the strands hanging down, the necklace is 7.5” wide and 8.5” tall. The beads are strung on wire, and the leather is sewn to it with string. One side of the necklace has a triangular beaded design, but it’s hidden from front view because the leather shrunk. The other side has a ripped section in the leather. The bottom of the necklace has two beaded string strands about 13.5” long, and a broken one about 6” long.
