  • Condition: EXCELLENT CONDITION. One small flat chip on the collar--not noticeable as it blends in with the "cut". No other chips, nicks or cracks. Slight scuffing on the bottom. No cloudiness. Some damage to the silver on the stopper. See photos and Description.

    Description

    HAWKES ~ AMERICAN BRILLIANT CUT GLASS DECANTER or CARAFE
    11" tall with stopper x approximately 5.5" at widest.
    8.5" w/o stopper.  Stopper is 4" long.
    Total weight:  4lbs 7oz
    EXCELLENT CONDITION.
    One small flat chip on the collar that blends in with the cut pattern.  Slight scuffing on bottom. No interior haze or cloudiness.  I examined this decanter to the best of my ability and could not find any other flaws. See Stopper info below.
    The Stopper
    :  The Stopper is beautiful and somewhat majestic with a cut patterned top with a hobstar in the center. There are no flaws on the top. There is, what appears to be, a silver wrap around the midsection with some damage to the silver material and a gash about 3/8" long.  I tried to capture it in the Photos.  Below the silver is the tapered glass stopper and the HAWKES trefoil etched on the flat bottom.
    The cut pattern is typically HAWKES with hobstars, fans, and diamond fields.  All the cuts are deep and sharp. The inside neck is softly etched by design so the stopper makes snug contact.
    The trefoil HAWKES acid mark is on the under side just above the flat bottom.
