Weller Pottery Colored Glaze Majolica Large Jardiniere, Glossy Pink/Green/Brown
Very large beautiful jardiniere in a high gloss majolica glaze. Weller produced many of these beautiful glossy glazes on highly embossed jardinieres, pedestals and umbrella stands, popular during the Victorian period. The glaze is a dusty pink at the rim, bleeding into a drippy green, and finally blending into a mottled brown at the base. 1890s to 1920s.
Condition:  No chips, cracks or repairs. Some small factory glaze pops/mold errors/extra clay bits. A little wear to high points in a couple of places. Shrinkage firing lines under the base that do not go through. The light line on the inside is a raised mold seam. Overall fine crazing, with just a little rust in a couple of spots on the inside, otherwise very clean.
Marks:  Unmarked.
Dimensions:  9 3/4" high, 11 1/2" at widest point, 7 1/4" base.
