The Weller Pottery 5 1/4" tall by 8 1/4" wide Woodcraft planter with decorated extended side designs.  On both sides of the tree bark are daffodils or t
oad stools
.  The Woodcraft piece has wonderful mold detail and sharpness with the naturalistic matte colours. The Woodcraft tree bark is so natural it appears be right out of the forest.  The piece is a complex structure on
both sides of the tree bark decorated with daffodils or t
oad stools
. This Weller Woodcraft design from early 1920's is very desirable.  The old 8 1/4"wide piece is in wonderful condition with outstanding hand painted colours with a mat glaze. The mat glaze finish is typical of this Weller design for this pattern
.
The some of Weller Woodcraft planters or jardiniers are shown on page 159 of Huxford's book on Weller.  The planter or jardiniere has no chips, no breaks, no cracks, and no fleabites and in wonderful condition.
